Permacrisis has been dubbed the word of the year, which means “an extended period of instability and insecurity." For many, this has translated to feelings of hopelessness, anxiety, loneliness, grief and a host of other tough emotions. For others, the signs aren't as obvious. "You may find yourself 'quiet quitting,' which translates to stepping away from work responsibilities and seeking ‘quality of life pursuits."

People’s sense of social belonging, or their sense that they have good relationships with others, is a fundamental human need. That is, having solid social connections can be as important to human health and happiness as having food, water, and shelter.
Setting priorities or feeling overwhelmed can lead to putting off tasks. It can increase anxiety and generate more avoidance.
