Peggy is my mom, and she’s also the first person most clients meet when they walk through our doors. People are always pleasantly surprised to find out that my mom is the one answering the phone and making everything run smoothly for me and the rest of the team. When they comment on how nice she is, I tell them she’s always like this—it’s not a performance. Her warmth is real, and it’s who she’s been her entire life.
She has a gift for making people feel attended to and valued, in a way that’s warm but never overbearing. It’s not unusual for clients to linger in the waiting area just to catch up with her, and more than a few have said she feels like their mom, too.
Peggy spent more than 25 years in customer-facing roles at Chase Bank, and for much of her life she’s also been a pastor’s wife. Both experiences have shaped her ability to connect with people from all walks of life, to listen without judgment, and to keep confidences with care. I’ve never heard her speak poorly of anyone, even in the most complicated moments—a quality I admire deeply.
She’s classy, dependable, and quietly keeps the boundaries that protect our team and clients, all while making the office feel like home. She’s happiest in the background, making sure others shine, and she has a way of offering wisdom only when it’s invited. Some of the most grounding, clarifying words I’ve ever heard have been from her one-line responses to my hardest seasons.
Peggy has spent her life creating warm, welcoming spaces, and she’s done the same for The Montfort Group. When she’s here, you feel it—because she makes sure you feel cared for before you’ve even sat down for your session.
