We are pleased to announce the addition of Courtney Strull, a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern supervised under Cory Montfort LPC-S, to our Plano office. She’s earned her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University.
Courtney has experience in play therapy, adolescent psychology, parenting education, and trauma. She obtained her practicum and internship hours at the SMU Center For Family Counseling where she saw clients who presented with depression, anxiety, and oppositional defiant disorder. In addition to individual sessions, Courtney led counseling groups for Nonpareil, which consisted of adult males on the Autism Spectrum and also for Inspire, which provided group counseling services to female students at Prosper High School. Courtney also traveled to the University of North Texas where she provided drop-in counseling services to students at Denton Wesley Foundation. And when she is not in session at The Montfort Group, she is conducting therapy groups at the Eating Recovery Center in Dallas.
The Montfort Group has been providing professional counseling services in Plano for the past seven years. We thrive on addressing a variety of complicated and varied career, relationship and personal issues. Our therapy services incorporate individual, couple and family work for teens and adults alike.
