I earned my Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in creative writing from Baylor University in 2018. I obtained my Master’s of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University where I specialized in working with individuals and couples. I hold an active License in Professional Counseling for the state of Texas as an Associate supervised by Cory Montfort, MS, LPC-S. Additionally, I am a published author contributing a chapter to Dr. Linda Metcalf’s book, Marriage and Family Therapy: A Practice-Oriented Approach.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. After a few years of personal and professional growth, I pursued my Master's of Science in Counseling at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. I work with adolescents, young adults, and the parent/teen dynamic. My specialties include career assessment, life transitions, and interpersonal relationships.

I am a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I received my Masters of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and also hold a Masters in Business Administration from Georgia State University. I had a successful career in real estate acquisitions, corporate marketing, and advertising prior to becoming a counselor. My clinical training and experiences include counseling individuals, couples, and groups in various treatment settings, including private practice, community clinics, and hospitals. I am an EMDR trained therapist and utilize trauma-informed interventions in my practice. Additionally, I have specialized training in parent-child dynamics, gender and sexuality issues, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Safe Conversations for couples and communities. I am also a passionate LGBTQ+ ally.

I attended The University of Texas in Austin where I majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology. During my undergraduate coursework, I did research under Dr. Rebecca Bigler, where I studied gender and racial attitudes among children. Upon competition of my undergraduate degree, I moved to Dallas to attend Southern Methodist University’s Master of Science in Counseling program and completed all the training to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I am a certified emotional intelligence and executive coach, with master’s degrees in counseling and organizational and human resource development from Southern Methodist University and Villanova University. I’ve also completed my doctoral course work at the University of North Texas, with my dissertation remaining. In my previous life, I enjoyed a career in journalism and market research, working for smaller and larger Fortune 500 organizations.
